Slade Fine Jewellery
After growing up in sunny Pembrokeshire, Jemma left the tranquil Welsh countryside and moved to the bright lights of London to study at the prestigious Central St Martins College of Art and Design. On completion of a BA Hons degree in Jewellery Design Jemma was fortunate enough to be offered a position within the production department of the iconic luxury jewellery brand Solange Azagury- Partridge. Jemma worked with Solange for 4 years on London’s Bond Street and in London’s eponymous jewellery district Hatton Garden before returning home to the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast National Park to start a family and establish Slade Fine Jewellery, a luxury brand all of her own.
Jemma loves bespoke commissions. Whether it’s a secret bespoke engagement ring, ruby anniversary surprise or carefully considered wedding bands the journey to creating a unique and precious final piece should give as much enjoyment as the final piece itself.
Jemma works closely with each client to come up with a collection of mood-boards, drawings, designs and prototypes to ensure that the final piece is exactly what is desired.
Although Jemma now works from a quirky little workshop set in the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside many of her clients are based throughout the UK. Fortunately communication is not a problem with the aid of the internet and the postal service, and allows a personal feel to be maintained when developing a piece of jewellery.
However, if you fancy a trip to sunny Wales, Jemma is always happy to welcome you to her homely workshop to discuss your jewellery requirements in person.
Eco Gold and Eco Silver
Here at Slade Fine Jewellery I am very pleased and proud to now be using both Eco gold and Eco silver.
What is Eco gold and Eco silver?
Both Eco gold and Eco silver are exactly the same as everyday gold and silver apart from one very special difference…..they are a fantastic eco-friendly 100% recycled alternative.
These Eco precious metals are recycled from scrap metal accumulated from industries such as jewellery, giftware and electrical.
Using Eco gold and sliver promotes a healthier jewellery industry. It is cleaner, greener, eco -friendly and vastly more ethical than newly mined gold and silver. It discourages the need for further mining which can sometimes be associated with both human and environmental problems.
Using Eco gold and silver does not hinder the fine jewellery making process in any way, nor does it make it any less luxurious. In fact, I believe that it makes a piece of fine jewellery even more special.
I am also very excited to now be registered to use fairtrade gold. This service is avilable for bespoke items made out of 18ct yellow and 18ct white gold.
